First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Zoetis.
Veterinarian
Had a quick call with the HR recruiter, then a virtual chat with the main vet. I think they might have already chosen someone since I was one of the last people they interviewed. The vet seemed busy and was mostly writing things down the entire time. They kept bringing up how much travel the job involved, even though it was in the job description and I knew about it. Didn't make it past that first interview.
- What is your motivation for applying to this role?
Corporate Account Manager
Started with a simple first two round interviews, where they were very respectful of my time. They asked very usual questions expected of an initial interview. The first interview was with the hiring manager and was 10 minutes long. They asked about my current role, why I was looking for a new role, and why I was interested in the company. The second interview was 30 minutes with the location manager. This one had more serious questions about my ability to complete tasks associated with the role, and if I had the experience fit for the role, etc. The third round was supposed to be a panel interview with the territory veterinarian and other associates, and then a fourth and final interview with an upper management leader.
- Tell me about the accounts/sales you currently handle, and how you manage them, including specifics like ordering, billing, clients, items, shipping, and tracking.
- What is your greatest strength, and what would you consider a weakness or area for improvement?
Accounts Manager
I had an initial phone screening with a Zoetis recruiter. They told me I'd hear back after the hiring manager reviewed my resume. Even after I followed up twice, I never got any response. It's weird because I'm a former vet practice manager and know how important it is to communicate with candidates, even if they aren't moving forward. It's a best practice to keep people informed for future relationships. I was surprised by this lack of communication, especially since I saw other reviews saying Zoetis might ghost candidates. I've never been ghosted before, so I was confused. My previous employer partners with Zoetis and exclusively uses their products. I know their vaccines and meds well and felt my background matched the job description, which made the lack of closure disappointing. Given my company's partnership and sales of Zoetis products, I expected better communication, even just an automated email saying they'd moved on with someone else. Everyone deserves to know if they're still being considered.

Data Analyst Intern
I had two interview rounds. The first was with HR and GMS Performance & Analytics to discuss my background and experience. Then, they gave me a mini-project involving data analytics that I had to complete and present. The project was good and covered many data analytics areas, and I could use any tools I preferred. The process was smooth, but I never got any feedback afterwards. I emailed to follow up, hoping for improvement points, but got ghosted. Companies should provide feedback to candidates, especially those who reached the final stages.
