Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Zoetis.
Senior Manager
The interview process seemed to reflect a male-dominated industry with inherent biases, but they were at least transparent about it. They provided feedback, which is appreciated and not always common. While I moved on, it's evident that internal politics play a significant role, a characteristic of the sector, especially in large corporations. Pay close attention to the specific area you're applying to and ask numerous questions about its structure. They communicate everything via email and take a considerable amount of time to respond, but they do respond.

Accounts Manager
I had an initial phone screening with a Zoetis recruiter. They told me I'd hear back after the hiring manager reviewed my resume. Even after I followed up twice, I never got any response. It's weird because I'm a former vet practice manager and know how important it is to communicate with candidates, even if they aren't moving forward. It's a best practice to keep people informed for future relationships. I was surprised by this lack of communication, especially since I saw other reviews saying Zoetis might ghost candidates. I've never been ghosted before, so I was confused. My previous employer partners with Zoetis and exclusively uses their products. I know their vaccines and meds well and felt my background matched the job description, which made the lack of closure disappointing. Given my company's partnership and sales of Zoetis products, I expected better communication, even just an automated email saying they'd moved on with someone else. Everyone deserves to know if they're still being considered.

Manager
Had a phone screen with HR, then a phone screen with the Hiring Manager, followed by two in-person interviews. This was during the separation from Pfizer so the hiring process was not as intense. A lot may have changed since.
- Can you describe your past contributions in your previous roles?
