Behavioral Technical Case

The interview process was smooth and I interviewed with the direct superior, the Regional Director Revenue. She was very cooperative and didn't ask complicated questions. Most of the questions were about strategy to increase revenue, business relations with third-party online travel agents/wholesalers, and hotel distribution & reservation issues.

Behavioral Presentation

I had to go to an office downtown that turned out to be in a mall, which made me a bit suspicious. The job itself was described as marketing, but it actually involved standing outside in tourist spots trying to get people to go to a timeshare seminar. The job description felt misleading and predatory. They said I'd be moved to a different part of Wyndham, but that didn't happen. It was a waste of time because it was so untrustworthy and misleading.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Are you able to persuade people to buy timeshares, even if they initially don't want to?

I met the regional recruiter at their office on the sales floor. The interview felt friendly. The strange thing was that none of the other salespeople were very friendly. None of them even introduced themselves to me. You could easily tell who the management was, but none of them said hi. It just felt like a weird vibe. The recruiter was nice, but they weren't the one who could hire me.

I met with the recruiter on Monday and we talked for a while about the job. They asked me to come back the next day for a job fair they were having for this and two other positions. During the career fair, those of us interested in the frontline sales roles were asked to return on Thursday for a panel interview because the managers were unable to attend. On Thursday, there were three of us interviewing for the position and four people asking questions. We were told we'd hear back within 24 hours, but that never happened.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • The panel asked typical questions about the role.
