Behavioral Presentation

I had to go to an office downtown that turned out to be in a mall, which made me a bit suspicious. The job itself was described as marketing, but it actually involved standing outside in tourist spots trying to get people to go to a timeshare seminar. The job description felt misleading and predatory. They said I'd be moved to a different part of Wyndham, but that didn't happen. It was a waste of time because it was so untrustworthy and misleading.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The initial interview was quite straightforward, covering my work and educational background. I was asked about my knowledge of Wyndham, so I'd advise looking into that beforehand. They also asked about the company's mission, which I had noted down, so understanding the general ideas is key. After the chat, I got a quick tour. The second interview was a bit tougher. Two marketing managers interviewed me, starting with a good cop/bad cop approach. They revisited my work/education history, and then the 'bad cop' threw in a 'sell me this pen' challenge, which I didn't succeed in. They mentioned they wanted to assess my composure, how I handle repeated questioning, and my ability to uncover the root cause of a refusal. They asked about my hobbies (computers) and then questioned the superiority of a new 'x' computer and the reasons for upgrading. I finished by asking them how I could excel in the role, which I believe was a strong move.

Got a text to schedule a phone interview that took about 10-15 min then scheduled an in person for the following day. The in person was about 30 minutes had interview with manager and higher up. Was thanked for time and told it would be about 2 days for a response. They reached out via text for a zoom or phone second interview time I wasn’t able to schedule for the following day due to conflict of schedule with my current position. After not hearing back for about a day and a half I figured I didn’t get the position. Got a call on the 3rd day with offer it’s been a very quick and exciting experience!
