It was three interviews total. First up was a 30-minute video call in English with a team leader. They asked about me, my experience, and for examples, it was pretty chill. Next, in Spanish, there was a chat simulation with a "client" and then the interview. Questions were like "What would you do if a customer does X thing," or "Tell me if you’ve ever had a bad experience." This part took about an hour total. The last interview, back in English, was with a manager. Overall, it was a really good experience. I felt like they genuinely wanted to get to know me and my background. It wasn't just a standard Q&A; they gave me space to talk about my ideas and I felt heard. This last chat was a bit over 30 minutes.

I interviewed for a Business Analyst role that asked for 2+ years of experience. First, I got a home assignment that I had three days to complete. The test had percentage questions, a big chart with four multiple-choice questions, and then two easy-to-medium SQL queries. It took about an hour. After that, the recruiter called me pretty fast and I got invited for an on-site interview at their office. The interview was two hours long: the first hour was a practical computer task, and the second hour was a technical interview with two team leads where they talked about the task I did.

I wanted to share feedback about my interview for the Senior Software Engineer position at Base44. I ran into some issues: 1. I was told by email the day before that I'd get the coding assignment 15-30 mins before the interview started so I could prep my environment. But, I didn't get it on time, and the interview kicked off without it. I only got the assignment via email at 9:30 PM that day. 2. The first part of the interview was used up trying to understand the assignment and set up the environment, and the interviewer didn't know I was supposed to get the assignment beforehand. 3. During the interview, there was pressure to use AI for the task, but it wasn't clear how I should show my thinking or the solution. 4. Because of the confusion, I only managed to finish 2 out of 5 parts of the assignment. 5. Even though the interviewer seemed experienced, they didn't know the company I was interviewing with (Base44), which caused more confusion. 6. The next day, I got rejected without any apology or explanation for the messy process. I think a company like Base44, especially under Wix, should have a more professional and organized interview process.

I started with a cool take-home assignment that I passed. Then, I had an onsite with the team lead. It was weird because he seemed disengaged. He asked about my background and mostly spoke about himself. He didn't ask much technically, just how I felt about the take-home test. Then he threw in a logic riddle totally unrelated to the role, calling it a 'statistics question' because of my degree. I answered it well, but he seemed more interested in finding flaws. After about 10 days and a follow-up from me, I was told we didn't "connect." So, a pretty unclear and odd experience overall.
