First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Wix.
Data Analyst
I went to Wix for their Student Program for Data Analysts, and it was actually one of the most chaotic interview processes I've ever been through. They invited about 250 people to show up at the same time, but there were only 10 jobs available. Nobody really checked us in, and everyone was just crammed into a lobby without any clear directions or anyone from the company to greet us. The event started late, and we had to wait around a lot with hardly any communication. A lot of us didn't even have seats or get technical help when we needed it. It really felt like Wix hadn't thought about how many people were coming, and it seemed pretty careless and rude to our time.
- Can you identify failed orders from the provided tables using SQL?
- How would you determine the top-selling products with SQL?
- Show me how to list the most expensive products based on unit price using SQL.
Marketing Data Analyst
I got a home test that took 5 hours to complete, in Excel that contained 5 questions. The main focus of the test was to detect and rank investment projects. IMO the 4th question was the most difficult one, keep in mind to save time for the last questions while starting the test. The experience was not good for me because no one kept in touch with me. I finished the test, a test I spent 5 hours taking, and I didn't know if it was submitted properly. I got a negative result 1 month after submitting the test. While I understand that long tests take time to review, I felt like it was inefficient and took too long, as I finished the hiring process from start to finish somewhere else in a much shorter period.
- Which project would you consider the best investment option?
- Given a limited budget, which projects are considered good investments and how would you allocate the budget among them?
Data Analyst
I got into a student analyst boot camp about two years back. It started with an at-home SQL and an analytical test, which was pretty easy. Then, we had to go to their offices to take tests on computers using Excel, that was okay. After that, there was a Zoom interview to go over the Excel test results, which made sense. The final interview before HR was a professional one with some general, vague analytical questions. I couldn't figure out what they were looking for and didn't get past it.
- Can you explain WIX's revenue streams?
