First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Visa Inc..
Customer Analyst
I had a virtual interview with the manager, HR, and a language specialist for the specific market. The session was brief and formal, with limited interaction from the panel. They asked a few questions and concluded quickly. Afterward, I did not receive any follow-up communication regarding the outcome, which left the status unclear. This level of communication felt surprising given Visa’s reputation as a large, professional organization.
- Can you tell us about yourself?
- Do you have experience in customer handling and relationship management?
Network Analyst
First, a quick chat with HR to see if it's a good fit overall and they'll lay out the interview stages and what to expect. Then, a panel interview with the hiring manager, someone from a related team, and a team member. They'll hit you with behavioral questions like 'tell me about a tough situation you managed' and probe your payments network tech knowledge, like explaining a P2P payment flow. They'll also check your business analyst chops by asking about your Agile experience. The final interview is supposed to be with the director of network product, but I didn't get that far, so I'm not sure about the specifics.
- Could you explain the payment flow for P2P transactions?
Campaign Strategist
So, the interview had this case study thing, like a role-related case interview, where they asked me stuff about how to get people to buy more credit cards and spend more when they're abroad. It was like three or four different scenarios to work through, and it took a whole hour. We talked about strategy, how to split up customers, ways to make more money, and using data to see what works and if it's good for the business long-term.
- In the case interview, I was asked how to increase credit card sales and boost cross-border transactions.
- The case study involved about three to four scenarios focusing on strategies to upsell credit cards and grow international spending, lasting for an hour.
- The discussion revolved around strategic thinking, customer segmentation, and identifying revenue growth opportunities.
Director
The interview process involved an HR screening, followed by interviews with the Hiring Manager, Stakeholders, and finally the Site Lead along with the HR Head. I found the company to be very unprofessional and they did not provide any updates on my application status, essentially ghosting me. The office in the Philippines did not look like a modern tech company, it was not attractive. I am still waiting for a feedback survey so I can give their recruitment team a failing mark. Visa HQ should be aware of how incompetent Visa PH is. It's not really about not getting an offer, but them ghosting applicants.
- Can you share your experience as a people manager?
