First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Tieto.
Software Engineer
So I interviewed for the Software Engineer position at Tietoevry. The interview had two main parts: a technical interview and then HR stuff. The technical interview was pretty in-depth, lasting about an hour, and covered key areas like C#, OOPs, .NET Core, Angular, microservices, and Azure. They also had me do two coding challenges to test my logic and how I'd implement things practically. The person interviewing me was professional, and it felt like we were discussing real development tasks. The technical part seemed fair and thorough. What could be better is the communication after the interview. I was told feedback was being reviewed, but it dragged on longer than expected, and I didn't always get clear updates even when I followed up. From my experience and what I've heard, the technical interview is solid, but they can be slow with the final feedback and general communication. So, good on the technical side, but they need to speed up response times and be more open about things after the interview.

Cloud Engineer
I applied for a Junior Cloud Engineer role in the first week of May, 2025. The following week, HR reached out about a short meeting, mentioning a 3-month trainee period. After that, there was a technical interview with two people, followed by a psychometric test. HR contacted me again, and I thought we'd discuss salary, but it turned out to be a rejection with feedback on areas for improvement.

Graduate Engineer Trainee
After clearing the aptitude and group discussion, I was called to their office in Pune for a face to face interview. We were shown an introductory presentation of the company, and their operations; and one by one, were called for the interview after that. Interview process was pretty smooth, but after that, nothing. We were told to wait for 3-4 days to receive an acceptance/rejection mail, but it's been more than a week and still nothing. And the worst part is, there is no point of communication during the entire process. For a company that prides itself in employee satisfaction and has work life balance as its core principle, interview experience was such a big let down.
- Tell me about your resume.
- Can you discuss your personal projects?
- What are your thoughts on Data Structures and Algorithms?
Sales Project Manager
I applied online and got a call for a video interview. The manager who interviewed me, who would be my direct manager, was super professional and nice. She started by telling me more about the company, the role, and what the job entails. Then we moved on to the interview questions. The interview was mostly in Latvian, but a few questions were in English. What wasn't clear from the job posting is that Russian is actually required because they have clients in Russian-speaking countries. I would've never applied if I'd known that. Overall, the company seemed to have a flexible corporate vibe, and I'd recommend applying.
- What motivated your application for this role, and why do you see it as a suitable match for your profile?
- Could you share some of your accomplishments?
- Describe a challenging situation you encountered and how you resolved it.
