Analog Layout Engineer
So the recruitment drive had 2 stages total. First was an Online Assessment Test, and the second was a Technical Interview. The Online Test had 2 parts, 45 mins each. Part 1 had 20 technical questions for 45 mins, and Part 2 had 20 Aptitude and Reasoning questions for 45 mins. The technical part covered stuff like Electrical Circuits and Measurements, Basic Circuits, Analog Electronics, Digital Electronics, and Basic Electronics. Aptitude and Reasoning included things like Probability, Comprehension, Critical thinking, and Time and Speed Problems. The questions were kinda medium difficulty. Each correct answer was 4 marks, and there was negative marking (1 mark deduction for each wrong answer). Then the Technical Interview lasted for about 30+ minutes. They began by asking about my projects, like the purpose and motive behind them. Two interviewers were on the panel. After my intro and project discussion, they moved on to technical questions.

HR Intern
Got shortlisted from campus as TI came to our campus for hiring. The shortlist was based on CV screening. TI is a day 0 company. The interview process was quite long, lasting about 1.5 hours for me. I had just 1 round with 2 people on the panel. One person was taking notes while the other asked questions. It began with general HR questions, then moved into case studies. I was asked to solve 3 cases, with each case taking about 20 minutes. Finally, I was asked to pose a question to them.

Software Engineer
Texas Instruments (TI) has a tough, technical interview process. They clearly separate Hardware/Electrical Engineering roles from Software/Embedded roles. It usually takes about 2-4 weeks to get an offer after applying. First, you apply and might get an online test (like HackerRank) with logic, math, and role-specific technical stuff. Then, there's a 30-45 minute screening call with a recruiter or manager to go over your resume, see if you're into TI, and ask some basic technical questions. Next are 2-3 technical interview rounds, either online or in person, where you'll really dive into your skills. You might code on screen or draw diagrams. For many engineering jobs, you'll also need to give a 15-20 minute presentation about a past project to a panel, who will question your choices and results. Lastly, there’s a behavioral/fit interview, sometimes with the technical rounds or as a final step, focusing on TI’s values and how you work.

Embedded Systems Engineer
The TI Embedded Software interview usually kicks off with an online technical test. This test checks your C programming skills, knowledge of embedded systems, and includes MCQs on electronics and debugging tasks. If you pass that, you'll likely have one or two technical interviews. These interviews dig into C programming (especially low-level stuff), how microcontrollers work, RTOS, memory handling, and interrupts, plus they'll see how you solve problems. Be ready to talk about your previous projects, particularly any with hardware, sensors, drivers, or that were real-time. Lastly, there's an HR interview to gauge your communication, how you work with others, your drive, and if you'd fit in with the company culture before they make a final decision.
