Embedded Systems Engineer
The TI Embedded Software interview usually kicks off with an online technical test. This test checks your C programming skills, knowledge of embedded systems, and includes MCQs on electronics and debugging tasks. If you pass that, you'll likely have one or two technical interviews. These interviews dig into C programming (especially low-level stuff), how microcontrollers work, RTOS, memory handling, and interrupts, plus they'll see how you solve problems. Be ready to talk about your previous projects, particularly any with hardware, sensors, drivers, or that were real-time. Lastly, there's an HR interview to gauge your communication, how you work with others, your drive, and if you'd fit in with the company culture before they make a final decision.

Systems Engineer
It started with some questions about my personal history and goals, then some questions on soft skills. Then it went into some technical questions and I had the opportunity to ask questions of the interviewer. The interviewer did not use his camera and was not a native English speaker, so we often struggled to understand each other.
- Could you draw a diagram of one of your projects and explain your design choices?
- Please draw both a full-bridge and a half-bridge.
- Can you draw a boost converter and also a buck converter?
Embedded Systems Engineer
I passed the online assessment which tested core hardware knowledge, some software concepts, and had an aptitude section similar to mental ability tests. My coding interview went well with a question on bit manipulation, function pointers, and C memory allocation. I was then asked about computer architecture, which I hadn't studied. Surprisingly, the next 5-6 questions were on CA, where I struggled. This suggests the role is heavily focused on computer architecture, so it's important to review this topic.
