Field Applications Engineer
The interview lasted 60 minutes and was split into two sections. The first part included standard behavioral questions like 'Tell me about yourself' and 'Describe a project you worked on.' The second part involved a mock scenario. I had to play the role of an FAE and deal with a customer who had a problem. The interviewers would guide me with hints if I needed help. I had to figure out and fix their issue. Be prepared to look at a circuit diagram and do some basic analysis.

Applications Engineer
It's a pretty straightforward process, with questions covering both personality and technical aspects. You might get asked about basic electrical filter concepts or op-amp questions. The interviewers, usually 1 or 2 people online, conduct about 2 or 3 rounds. They really like to ask about projects you've done. This is a great chance to talk about how you handled specific design problems, your approach to solving them, what the outcome was, and your overall thinking.

Applications Engineer Intern
I had a video interview through hirevue, but it felt like a normal zoom call with someone. The interviewer was an Applications Engineer, but they seemed uninterested from the start and didn't try to make small talk. I did my homework on TI and was ready, but the interviewer didn't seem to care. They didn't have anything positive to say about their job or TI, which was unexpected. Reaching out to the TI recruiters via email was also a struggle and not very helpful. Based on what friends and online sources say, you usually hear back within a week or two, but it took me six weeks just to get a rejection.
