First, the recruiter will look over your resume to see if you have the right experience, skills, and certs. They'll check for keywords that match the job description. Then, they'll make a shortlist. They are looking for a technical background, if you've been stable in your roles and how your career has progressed, and if you match the industry (like manufacturing, maintenance, or automation).

Behavioral Technical

The interview process with Tetra Pak took about a month, which was longer than I expected. There were some delays with calls and the communication wasn't very clear. Some questions I asked couldn't be answered because management hadn't made final decisions yet, showing there wasn't a clear plan internally. Because the job could be in different countries, hiring managers might prefer candidates from their own country, which could seem unfair. Other people have also mentioned ghosting, long waits, and confusing communication, and my experience fit that pattern. It felt slow, disorganized, and possibly biased. If this is how they treat candidates, it makes me wonder if the daily work environment is similar.

After I sent in my application, CV, and a motivation letter I wrote for the job, I got invited to the next step which was a one-way video interview through HireVue. I get that companies might do this to handle lots of applications, but I thought it was not personal and not engaging, especially for a job that needs people skills and teamwork. I thought it was weird because Tetra Pak is known for being innovative and valuing people, so it didn't seem to fit that they didn't have me talk to anyone from HR or a recruiter at this point. You'd expect to talk to a person by now, to ask questions about the job and see if you fit the company culture and team. I didn't continue because I think talking and being upfront early on is important for a good hiring process.

Technical Behavioral Presentation

So first, I had this online video interview thing where you just, like, record yourself talking to a computer. Then, there was this hour-long technical interview, and they were watching me while I took a test, probably to make sure I wasn’t using AI or something. After that, I had a one-and-a-half-hour interview that was all about seeing if I aligned with their core values. These three interviews were super long, and then they totally ghosted me for like two weeks. Finally, I got this automated email saying I wasn't a fit, and they couldn't even be bothered to call me or tell me why. Like, seriously?
