Business Development
Interviewed with the hiring manager and got a surprise case study assignment on the spot because the HR rep forgot to mention it was going to be a case study interview. Made it to the final round of interviews but got rejected by an automated message on a Sunday morning. Asked HR for feedback and an explanation but got ghosted.
- What is your preferred managerial style?
Business Development Specialist
So, I started by making a profile on their job portal. They liked my application, and I got an email with a link to an online interview where I had to answer pre-recorded questions. After that, I was invited to their office for an in-person meeting. We talked more about my experience and why I was interested in the job. The final stage was an assessment. I was given a case study to work on for an hour. Then, some team members joined for a role-play scenario where they acted as 'difficult clients,' and I had to address their concerns and handle objections. Unfortunately, after that, I heard nothing, just an email saying the position was filled. I asked for feedback but never got any. My advice to others: don't waste time studying the company's solutions for the assessment, because the case study is unrelated.
- Can you give us an overview of yourself?
Business Development Specialist
It was great, a series of steps in the process. English test, prior video conference, and one:one interviews. The process is transparent and the recruiter updates about the steps and gives feedback, which brings peace of mind to the candidate.
- Role-play related to the proposed scenario
