The whole process had 3 rounds. The first round focused on Python coding, checking concepts about Agents and RAG, and how to code them. The second round looked at my resume and asked me to design a use-case at a high level. The last round was a direct chat with the Manager, where they wanted to see my thinking and vision. We also talked about how I'd handle potential conflicts.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Imagine you have about 10k-15k PDF files on your computer. How would you write a program to get the first line from each, combine them into one string separated by commas, making it super efficient? Also, explain why threads or processes might or might not be suitable here.
  • You're given two vector stores. How would you write code using LangGraph to produce an output for a user query based on results from both? What's an enhancement to only query the second vector store if the first one gives back less than 5 documents?
  • How would you architect a door-to-door service for a family that's planning a trip to San Diego?

The first interview was on Dec. 3, 2025, and the fifth and last one, with the leader I would support, was on Dec. 20th, 2025, after some reschedules. The leader said I was one of two finalists and I would hear back by Monday. I got an email a few weeks later, on January 5th, saying they chose someone else but had another position open and asked if I wanted to apply. I did. There were another five rounds, with the last one on February 2nd, 2026. On Feb. 16th, I got an email from the Senior Talent Business partner saying they had an internal candidate to consider as due diligence. Today, Feb. 24th, she emailed me saying she was meeting with the team and would circle back with final updates. The recruiter is taking forever to give me an answer, three weeks after the last interview. She even mentioned internal referrals today. It's disrespectful of my time. I wouldn't accept an offer from a company that treats people like this.

The interviewers are very strict about their expectations and won't try to sell you on the role. They ask one question, and if your answer isn't exactly what they're looking for, you're out. My interview was supposed to be 30 minutes but ended in 10. I tried to talk up my skills to give more context and got an extra 15 minutes, but it didn't help. Also, the job description was unclear and they used it as a trick question during the interview.

First, you submit your application and they look at your resume to see if you fit. Then, an HR person calls you to chat about your background and why you want the job. After that, you might have a phone or video technical interview with coding problems and stuff, or maybe an online test. If you do well, you go to on-site interviews (or virtual ones) which have a few parts. These will be super technical, asking about coding, system design, and your skills. They'll also ask behavioral questions to see how you work with others and handle things. You'll meet the team to make sure you fit in. Sometimes, there's a final chat with a big boss to talk about strategy and your future.
