Teradata Graduate Program Interview Questions
& Process

I applied through college and was called by the company to their campus in Powai, Mumbai. It's a 3-round hiring process. The first round was an aptitude and pen-paper exam covering topics like percentages, age, ratio & proportion, simple interest, calendar, time & work, and distance. All aptitude questions came from Indiabix.com, so prepare from there. There were also English questions, also from Indiabix, which were very easy. Then came data interpretation questions with pie charts, tabular formats, and line graphs. Each section had 20 questions. After the aptitude test, they served coffee and biscuits. The company is very nice and takes good care of its employees. Those who cleared the aptitude round were provided with lunch. The next round was the technical round, which was also easy. They assess your confidence and communication skills. They first ask you to introduce yourself, then talk about your internship if you did one, and then about the projects mentioned in your CV. They also asked what is a database, RDBMS, data warehouse, SDLC, project management, testing types, join queries, and types of join. Questions will be based on your CV. Don't worry, they make you comfortable. The last round was the HR round, similar to a normal HR round. They asked about your schooling, strengths, weaknesses, family background, and if you are okay with working night shifts. Then they asked about the 30-month bond. This was my experience with Teradata. It was a very smooth process.

The whole process had three stages: first, an aptitude test at the Institute Campus. Then, students who passed were invited to the Teradata Office for the next rounds. The aptitude test (90 mins) had two sections: Aptitude and Programming. The Aptitude part was easy with plenty of time. The Programming part required coding two programs, one in C/C++ and another in Java/Python. Next, there was a Technical Interview (30 mins) which was mostly like an HR round, asking 2-3 technical questions and discussing projects, internships, and educational background. Lastly, an HR Interview (10 mins) which was very casual, asking about shift comfort and package. Note: If you feel your profile is too strong for what Teradata needs, maybe don't attend this interview. It seems they might reject you anyway, as it happened to many colleagues.

The process consist an 3 rounds. 1. Aptitude Test:- Consist 3 sections i.e quant, logical, data interpretation each section is compulsory. Each section consist 20 question i.e total 60 question for 60 min. 2. Technical Round : Very important round. The interviewer is so friendly and they ask technical question with some hr question. For selection ans the question with confidence and try to give correct ans dont give any fake or wrong ans. Be confident and be prepare SQL and database concept completely. 3. Hr round:- Normal Hr question. Tell me about yourself, Hobbies, Strength and weakness etc.. The interviewer is so friendly. Be prepared well and be confident during interview. See you in Teradata.
