In the technical round, I was asked about the difference between a medior and senior developer. I focused on the technical aspects and got positive feedback during the interview. However, in the overall feedback, I was rejected because I didn't bring up non-technical aspects of being a senior developer. This interview process lacked professionalism and felt like they were just checking off keywords.

Technical Coding Behavioral

It was a 3-stage process, with one round for HR and two technical interviews. The technical interviews were focused on practical frontend tasks, like creating responsive designs, boosting performance, and handling state with frameworks like React and Redux. I liked that they asked about more than just code syntax, touching on things like making code reusable, easy to maintain, and accessible.

I had a really disappointing experience. I waited an hour in the virtual lobby for a scheduled video interview as part of a hiring event hosted on Indeed’s website. Indeed allows you to schedule the interview as part of the application process, which I did with an air of scepticism, but I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt. A few seconds into the video interview, I was told that my application would not be progressing. I was informed that my CV had already been reviewed and rejected beforehand, but this was never communicated prior to the interview. A complete waste of time and frankly being left waiting that long before even being spoken to reflects very poorly on the recruitment process. I would expect far better from a company the size of Sky, especially given people take time out of their day and plan ahead for opportunities like this.

It was a really professional, thorough, and detailed interview process. They seemed really interested in understanding my background, skills, and experiences. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. I got really good feedback that helped me see my mistakes and what I needed to work on. This feedback was useful for improving my communication and presentation skills.
