They asked me about the projects and publications listed on my CV. After that, I was given 2 DSA questions and 2 puzzles to solve. The DSA problems were about medium difficulty on Leetcode, and the puzzles were also manageable if you've practiced them before.

This interview was by far THE worst design interview I have attended, leaving a bad taste in my mouth. The interviewer, who has 12 years of experience, came in without introductions, smiles, or greetings, which felt unprofessional but was a minor issue. However, she repeatedly interrupted my presentation every 5 minutes, not allowing me to finish my sentences or fully explain my work. This felt more like a college design critique than a professional discussion. The interruptions meant I couldn't finish my presentation due to time constraints. It was also evident the interviewer was unprepared, showing no familiarity with my portfolio and asking very basic questions, indicating she might have been seeing it for the first time. Overall, it was an incredibly poor experience, and I would not want to proceed even if offered a position.

The interview process is quite convoluted, I'd advise against joining their written test invitation. There are too many unnecessary steps involved. In an era where platforms like LetCode and HackerRank monitor your laptop screen and require camera and audio permissions, Samsung's process requires connecting to VDI and setting up for the written test. They provide a link you have to join through your mobile, and then they ask you to keep your mobile visible as they monitor both your mobile and laptop screen. They should just mandate candidates to come to the Samsung premises instead.
