The interview process was quite efficient. I had the chance to connect with both local colleagues and some based in the UK. The questions were mostly competency-based, focusing on my experience, how I handle stakeholder management, and my understanding of working with KPIs and Metrics. We also discussed the practicalities of being located in SA while the client is in the UK and how that would function within a team.

So, first there's a chat with HR, which is pretty standard. Then, based on the job, you gotta do this practical test. For an analyst role, I had to whip up a quick report on a particular industry in a given area. Sometimes they might ask you to present your findings, but not always. If they dig your work, you move on to interview with the hiring manager. If that goes well, there might be one more chat with a higher-up, usually the last step. My advice: chill out but stay sharp, do your homework, get ready beforehand, and you'll be good. Make sure to highlight how your skills match what they're looking for.

Extremely unprofessional, inappropriate, invasive, and unstructured interview process. Got scheduled for 6 interviews with management and different team members without a clear timeline, format, or structure. A complete waste of time. Was asked very personal and irrelevant questions that invaded my privacy, which is an indication of a super toxic and unprofessional work environment. The hiring need was also constantly shifting, and they went back and forth on the team I would be joining and the hiring needs. Had to withdraw from the process to stop further loss.

Got approached by an external recruiter for a job at Robert Walters. It took a whole month from the interview to get feedback, and then when they finally gave feedback, I had to be ready for another interview the same day or the next. Both times, the client gave me direct positive feedback. But then... nothing. Heard they might be hiring for the role in another city and were interviewing people there. I stayed in touch with the external agency trying to get updates, and I even emailed the people I interviewed with a few times, but after 3 months, no official response. Honestly, for a recruiting company, this candidate treatment is not okay.
