This was a pretty laid-back interview. Started with some basic questions, then moved into a few scenario-based ones. They asked about my biggest sale, my toughest challenge, a presentation that didn't go well, a great team experience, and my future aspirations. Definitely no high-pressure tactics, just an easy conversation.

Behavioral Presentation

The interview process was pretty straightforward and felt good. I kicked things off with a phone call with the recruiter, who really knew their stuff and what the hiring manager was after. Right after that, I had a virtual chat with the hiring manager. Then came a leadership panel, and to wrap it up, I met with the VP. I really enjoyed all the chats, it seemed like everyone there genuinely likes their jobs and was excited about bringing in new ideas and perspectives. It all wrapped up in about a month, which felt about right for four stages.

Behavioral Technical

So I started with this crazy long Pred Index survey, like over 100 questions. Then my first chat was with Joe Verbone, and he hit me with personality questions, kinda like the survey stuff, and this math problem: 'If a car is traveling at 50 mph for 2 hours, how many miles did the car travel after 30 minutes?' He didn't ask anything about my past jobs or what's on my resume. I asked him if it was all personality stuff after the big survey, and he was a hard yes, then fired off more personality questions. He sounded totally bored, just reading from a list and wanting to get it over with. Honestly, as a senior sales rep, it felt like a huge waste of my time, not to mention over an hour on some random survey. It seems like this company just uses outside tools to figure out if you're a good fit, instead of judging for themselves. Definitely not a place I'd want to work after an interview that felt like a trap. Can't imagine working there. They seem heartless, relying on AI instead of making human decisions. Must suck to work there.

Technical Coding

I went through four interviews for this role: a screening interview, a remote interview, a skills assessment, and finally an in-person interview. The job was to be the sole on-site IT person for a pretty big office, but the pay wasn't great. I tried to negotiate a higher salary after getting an offer, and they agreed. They offered me a start date two weeks out. But then, just three days after the offer, the HR person, Jacob, emailed me saying he'd been trying to call (which he hadn't) and that since I didn't respond, they were going with someone else. Given how untrue that was, I can only guess why they backed out of the offer.
