The hiring process was really clear and felt like a well-oiled machine. Everyone I spoke with – recruiter, hiring manager, supervisor, and CISO – knew their part and asked relevant questions. Things moved fast, even during the holidays. They could all answer my questions about the different steps. I applied, and a recruiter called within a week. I picked my availability on their dashboard, and they emailed to set up the first interview. This back-and-forth continued for all the interviews. Then they asked for referrals and sent info for a background check. They made an offer, which I accepted, contingent on the background check results.

So the interview process had four stages: First, HR, then Sales Manager, then EMEA Director of Sales, and finally a panel with four people. The HR team was on top of things, reaching out after each interview and giving me the lowdown on how I did and what I could do better, which was super helpful. Definitely make sure you know Recorded Future’s value prop inside and out, they really care about that. Also, be ready to show why you're the right person for the job with solid examples, like how you’ve landed deals before, your pipeline management system, and how you plan your day.

Behavioral Presentation Other

The first round was a screening, pretty basic, asking about my background and my interest in Recorded Future. I also got to ask some questions about the job and company. The second round was with my direct manager, where I answered questions and we discussed the role more. Then, the third round involved a mock walkthrough of the Recorded Future Platform. I was given materials to study and prepare a presentation. The final round was a conversation with the Director, which was similar to the second round.

The whole interview process took about 3-4 weeks. It felt like the hiring manager wasn't too sure what they were looking for, which might explain why the job title changed from Senior Solution Engineer to Professional Services Senior Engineer. While I get the need for a deep dive, they expected me to know the Recorded Future system inside out. The presentation part was tough because the panel kept cutting me off with questions before I could really explain myself. This made it hard to show what I know and how I'd fit. I think a more open chat would have been better for figuring out if I was a good fit.
