The whole thing took about eight weeks from start to finish. I had six interviews in total with HR and the team. Everyone was really nice and professional and gave me detailed answers. After the second round, there was a writing test. HR was round one, and the director was round two. They send you a list of questions, you pick one, write a 2-4 page report, and send it back by the deadline. The director looked at my report and then set up more interviews with my future coworkers and manager so I could get to know them. It was a really good experience.

So they have this 3 stage video interview process, with 2 analysts and a director. Then it gets weird, they give you an hour demo of their platform, then expect you to solve tasks using it and present it in person. The platform is proprietary, so you have to spend a lot of time learning it for free, which is dumb because they train you on it anyway once hired. The tasks are super important, like, they decide if you get hired no matter how good you are as an analyst. They care way more about the presentation than actual skills, almost like it's a sales job, even though they say it's not. I was really bummed out when they told me the presentation was the reason I didn't get the job. If they'd told me that upfront, I wouldn't have wasted my time. Other people felt the same way, so be ready to put in a ton of hours learning and presenting their platform.

Applied online, and an HR recruiter reached out within 3 days to set up the initial screening. Had a 30-minute chat with the HR recruiter, and got feedback less than 24 hours later that I was moving on. Then, I had a 1-hour interview with the hiring manager, where we discussed the role, the team's direction, and my career goals. Got the green light from them the same day. Next, I was given a written assignment: create an intel report about a disinformation campaign, with a 7-day deadline. I submitted it within 2 days, and the hiring manager reviewed it in just 30 minutes, letting me know I'd advance to interviews with team members. Had a chat with two team members to see if I'd fit culturally, learn about the day-to-day, and discuss professional interests. The final interview was with the department head. After that, they asked for 2-3 references. Finally, I got the offer! The whole process felt long but was super clear and straightforward, so I wasn't stressed. It was the easiest, most enjoyable interview experience I've had.
