Data Scientist Intern
I had one formal interview and another one that was more casual, where we talked about different jobs and possibilities. Both people I talked to were nice. The first interviewer was pretty junior and didn't know a lot.
- Can you describe a recent project and explain the problem it addressed?
Data Scientist
The whole hiring thing took a while, like almost 3 months from start to finish, mostly because of COVID and the holidays in December. HR was really good though, always keeping me in the loop and even asking for feedback to make things better. All the interviewers were on time, gave useful feedback, answered all my questions, and were just great people to chat with and learn from. Honestly, it was one of the better interview experiences I've had, even if it was a bit long.
- Complete a coding challenge that requires processing a dataset exceeding available RAM.
- Discuss a project you've finished, detailing the problem, your approach, the outcomes, and the technologies you employed.
Data Scientist
I only had a screener interview. They asked standard questions to check if my resume experience aligned with the job. The interviewer seemed happy that I was a good fit, said they'd follow up, but then ghosted me.
- Do you have experience building ML models?
