First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at R/GA.
Visual Designer
I submitted my application online and heard back from a recruiter about two weeks later for an initial chat. This first conversation was about my background, my portfolio, and my experience working with different teams. After that, I had another interview with a design lead where we discussed one of my case studies in more detail, focusing on how I think about design, collaborate, and make design decisions.
- Can you describe a difficult project and how you modified it?
- What constitutes good design?
Digital Designer
I had two interviews, one with HR and another with the Google area director, both were very nice. They asked me to show them the projects I was currently working on and to tell them about a specific detail of the process or the result. Then we chatted a bit in English and they asked me some questions.
- Could you explain your current design process?
Producer
The interview process with R/GA was really smooth and straightforward. They made sure to set clear expectations from the beginning. R/GA works with some really well-known and demanding clients, so they have a high standard for who they hire. It's worth mentioning that they make it clear from the get-go that getting hired at R/GA isn't easy, and only highly skilled people make the cut. This makes you feel pretty valued, and honestly, that's how it feels once you're actually part of the team!
- Can you share your background in related positions?
Talent Manager
The first stage was a WhatsApp call to explain benefits, and then all subsequent interviews were via Zoom. There were 3 stages in total. They asked standard questions, nothing too complex. Half of the interview was conducted in English. The first stage was with someone in the same position, the second with related directors, and the last with a director from the US office.
- Can you describe your work process?
- Do you have previous experience in this?
- How would you feel working in this area?
