Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at R/GA.
Producer
The interview process with R/GA was really smooth and straightforward. They made sure to set clear expectations from the beginning. R/GA works with some really well-known and demanding clients, so they have a high standard for who they hire. It's worth mentioning that they make it clear from the get-go that getting hired at R/GA isn't easy, and only highly skilled people make the cut. This makes you feel pretty valued, and honestly, that's how it feels once you're actually part of the team!
- Can you share your background in related positions?
Producer
Multiple people contacted me on LinkedIn, but they repeated questions and didn't seem aware I'd been contacted before. Response times were very slow, and I ended up accepting another offer.
- Can you describe your project management methodologies and provide situational examples with clients?
Producer
The r/ga office is pretty cool, but I'm not a big fan of the location. They have a nice coffee bar, which was convenient – they even gave me a latte after my second interview. There are two offices across the street from each other. My three interviews were all in the smaller building with the courtyard. I met with four people in total. Three were really nice, but one guy acted like he was too good for the company. My main concern was the brutal honesty about work hours. For something like digital advertising, even with its creative aspects, working 12+ hour days seems like a sign of mismanagement. I guess if you love your job, you'd consider yourself lucky to spend all your time there.
- Do you have the commitment and passion required for this role?
- Is digital advertising something you live and breathe?
