Senior Manager
The entire process took about 2 months from the initial contact with the recruiter. It included a recruiter screen, a hiring manager screen, and then a virtual final round with three interviewers. While the hiring manager and the panel I spoke with were great and asked engaging questions, the recruiter's communication was really lacking. I didn't get any updates during the process unless it was for scheduling, and my emails often went unanswered. After the final round, which I thought went well, I waited 3.5 weeks to hear anything back. I eventually got a generic rejection email, which was pretty disappointing considering how far I got in the process. They didn't even offer a personal rejection from the recruiter.
- Can you share an example of how you energize and inspire a team?
Paralegal
The whole thing took about 2 months from start to finish. First, there was a phone screening with a recruiter, then I interviewed with the hiring manager, who is my direct boss. After that, I had interviews with an attorney and a paralegal, and then with an attorney and someone from accounting. Finally, there was a meet & greet with the hiring manager, which included an office tour. Everyone I met was really nice. They asked all sorts of different questions and really dug into my answers, which shows they want to understand you well. They care about you showing your personality and proving you'd be a good fit for the team culture. They also want to see that you're good at teamwork and can solve problems effectively. Unfortunately, I didn't get an offer in the end.
- Imagine you need to launch a product in a week, but the necessary license takes a month to process. How would you handle this situation?
- Would a $100 penalty fee alter your strategy for the product launch scenario?
- Can you share an instance where you found it difficult to accept feedback?
Customer Success Manager
I interviewed for a Customer Success Manager/Associate role in Sydney. The process had 3 rounds. First, I spoke with a recruiter who asked standard questions. In the second round, I interviewed with a senior team member. This went well, and they suggested I was better suited for the full CSM role, not the associate one. The third round was in-person with the manager. He was late to start and then explained the role had changed to be more technical. Within 15 minutes, he decided I wasn't a fit due to this change. It was rough going from being told I fit a senior role to being rejected immediately in person, especially when it felt like the job I interviewed for no longer existed. Honestly, it feels like I dodged a bullet.
- Can you tell us about your technical experience?
- What attracts you to Qualtrics?
- Could you walk us through your background?
Software Engineer
The whole process took about 1.5 months after applying. First, there was a Recruiter Screening Call, then a Hiring Manager interview that covered tech signals and behavioral questions based on TACOS. After that, I had two back-to-back interviews: a 1.5-hour coding session with two interviewers where I had to solve a Leetcode Medium problem involving sliding windows and palindrome search, and a 1-hour system design session where I had to design a booking service for events. Unfortunately, I was rejected five days later because I didn't do well on the coding part. It was a good experience talking to the hiring team though, they were nice, helpful, and open about everything. I'd like to reapply in about six months.
- Tell me about your experience with the company values (TACOS)
- Solve a Leetcode Medium problem using Sliding Windows.
- Solve a Leetcode Medium palindrome search problem.
