Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Qualtrics.
Recruiting Manager
I had 3 phone calls for the Recruiting Manager role. The first was very informational. The second one, the person no-showed me three times and kept rescheduling. The final Senior call was 10 minutes late and they basically just told me I didn't have enough years of management experience, which is clearly visible on my LinkedIn. Then they said I'd hear back about a more junior role and then ghosted me. Very poor candidate experience, especially from recruiting leadership. I was ghosted a few years back too for another role. Hopefully, this isn't representative of the company values.

Technical Recruiter
I was contacted by the hiring manager via LinkedIn. The interview process involved an initial phone call, then a 3-hour on-site interview, followed by two 30-minute video calls. Given how competitive the Seattle market is right now, the whole hiring process took a really long time and there wasn't much communication between stages. After seeing the offices during the on-site, I was definitely sold on the company and its culture. They have a great workspace, a good location, the people were fantastic, and they had awesome office perks. So, they've got that going for them. However, the final video interviews were ultimately what made me accept another offer. I've never had a more unprofessional experience; the interviewer didn't have my resume, ate during the call, looked at his phone, and talked to other people during the video conference. I've never been treated so unprofessionally during an interview, especially when someone says that the people are what they love most about the company and what makes it amazing.

Recruiting Coordinator
The interview started with a phone call to get to know me and my background. After that, I had to go on-site three times because of who I needed to meet with for approval. I ended up meeting around 9-10 people in total. Once all the interviews were done, my information went to a senior review board with feedback from the interviewers. If that went well, my name was sent to the company president for the final decision. The whole thing took about 4 weeks, and they were good about keeping me updated. The questions weren't super hard, but they really wanted to know why I was the best person for the job, not just compared to other candidates.
