First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Qualtrics.
Technology Consultant
So I had 4 interviews in total. First up was the recruiter, just checking some basic info about my past jobs. Then I talked to a senior team member for a behavioral interview, asking about how I work, juggle multiple projects, and my past experiences. After that, it was a technical interview where I had to code something simple in a language of my choice. The final interview was with the hiring manager, another behavioral one focusing on my previous work history.
- When handling multiple projects, how do you go about prioritizing tasks, especially if one of those priorities shifts?
Technology Consultant
I went through 6 interviews with the team. I was supposed to be on a 7th and final zoom call, but no one showed up. I contacted the recruiter the same day, and they were confused. The next day, they informed me that the position had been filled and the interview was canceled to save time. While I understand this, it would have been considerate to let me know the position was filled beforehand, especially since I took time off work and waited 30 minutes on the last zoom call only to be no-showed. I'd be cautious interviewing here because it seems promising when you talk to senior people, but they seem to cast a wide net when recruiting.
- Can you share an instance where you failed to meet a client's deadline?
Technology Consultant
It was pretty long, gotta say. Lots of phone calls, then face-to-face meetings, and a case study. Nothing too crazy, but you gotta be ready for the whole thing. I didn't think it was super hard, and even though the title has "Technology" in it, the questions weren't really technical. They asked a few easy ones, which makes me think they don't do much hands-on development. A big part of it was about how you deal with clients and handle different parts of the project timeline. If you've worked with customers before, you'll probably be fine. Despite all that, it looks like there's room to grow there and take on new responsibilities beyond what I mentioned, if you're up for it.
- Can you walk me through some customer scenarios?
- How do you approach different situations in the project life-cycle?
- Tell me about your experience with clients.
