I was told I'd have three interviews to show my fit for the AE role, but was rejected after the first interview and the rest were canceled. The interviewer admitted she was not closely tied to the AE function, asked questions that were not relevant to the role, and seemed disengaged throughout. The recruiter also suggested I could be considered for another opportunity if this one did not work out, but then sent a generic rejection email with no mention of it. Overall, the process felt misleading, poorly aligned, and unprofessional.

Behavioral Case Presentation

First, there was a recruiter screen to align on background, role fit, and expectations. Then, a hiring manager interview focusing on sales rhythm, prospecting, and complex sales cycles. After that, a senior manager interview covering the hunter motion, land-and-expand strategies, and channel engagement. The next step was a stakeholder interview where they really dug into my process using MEDDPICC, stakeholder mapping, and negotiation approach. The last part was a presentation.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Could you detail your biggest deal from start to finish, explaining how you found it, identified stakeholders, managed procurement and negotiation, and ultimately closed and expanded it?

Behavioral

The interview process here is quite lengthy, requiring a significant time investment for preparation. You'll have interviews with various individuals leading up to the TACOS interview. My process involved three interview reschedules initiated by them due to reasons like an interviewer being unwell, which further extended the timeline. The initial interviews with more junior staff were positive experiences with excellent people. However, the interaction with the most senior person was disappointing; they seemed disengaged and uninterested in what I had to say. Their responses to my questions were generic, corporate-sounding, and offered no real insight.
