I had a disappointing experience interviewing with this company. After multiple interview rounds and a presentation that required a significant time investment, I was ultimately rejected via a generic email. No feedback and no courtesy call. I understand not being selected, but after asking candidates to commit substantial time and effort, the lack of personal communication feels unprofessional and dismissive. Initially, I was disappointed not to receive an offer, but after seeing how they handled the rejection, I’m honestly glad I didn’t get the job. A company that asks for that level of effort should show more respect for candidates time.

Heads up to anyone considering interviewing with Numerator: it's a total waste of time! First, there was a phone screen with the recruiter, a pretty standard Teams call with the hiring manager lasting about 30 minutes. It seemed to go really well, and an hour later I got an email saying she really liked me and wanted me to do the case study. The case study is nuts. They send you two HUGE Excel files, one with messy raw data and another with survey data, it's a lot. The actual case study isn't hard, it's about solving a made-up business problem. I spent FOREVER on my presentation and submitted it feeling good. About two hours after submitting it, they set up a panel interview with four people for me to present and answer questions. I thought my presentation was great, and I thought all my answers afterward were perfect. I left the interview SURE I'd get an offer the next week. BUT the next day, the recruiter told me with no explanation they passed. I seriously thought it was a joke or I misread the email, there was no way after that amazing interview and presentation, and ALL THE TIME I spent on the case study, that I wouldn't get an offer? I really wouldn't waste your time with this company; I'm not even sure if they're actually hiring or need anyone, or if they're just bored and want to waste the time of people job hunting. Please trust me, don't....DO NOT waste your time on this case study.

So after a basic cognitive assessment and an Excel test, the interview was scheduled. The cognitive assessment has 2 parts. Part 1 has patterns, math, and logic questions and Part 2 contains situation task and reaction questions to showcase your personality and thinking. After submitting your test HR will contact in a few days if qualified, you will have an interview where the TL, HR, and Manager in a single meet will take your interview.

Got approached by a recruiter about a cool job. About a week later, another recruiter called to chat more about my background. Two weeks after that, I got a CoderByte assessment. There were 3 technical rounds: 1st was the CoderByte assessment (1 hour, 5 challenges, 5 multiple choice - 1 SQL, 1 React, 3 Python). 2nd was a whiteboard interview. 3rd was a technical discussion/panel. I know I'm not the best engineer out there, but this job would've paid less than my last one, and the assessment is pretty intense for someone who does backend stuff. They need to change how they evaluate people; I get that folks are busy but expecting people to have a degree to build APIs and backend systems is just not realistic.
