Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Numerator.
Consultant
First I talked to a recruiter, then I had a call with the hiring manager. After that, the recruiter reached out to give me a case study, and I had a week to finish it because it was a lot of work. Once I sent it in, I presented it to a panel of 4 people.
- Can you share your background and experience?
- What are your specific insights relevant to this position?
Consultant
I had an initial screening with a recruiter who was really enthusiastic and thought I'd be a good fit. Then, I had one-on-one interviews with two people from the account team, which I felt went well. The final round involved a case study, the Sam Adams case, which I spent a lot of time preparing for. After that, I didn't hear back for two weeks. I emailed the recruiter for an update and was told they decided to hire someone internally, but they were still interested and expected more openings. A month later, I saw a similar role and reached out to the recruiter again but got no response. I emailed a second time, but still nothing. It was frustrating to invest so much time in the case study, not get a timely response, have them go with an internal hire, and then not even respond professionally when I inquired about another role.
- Can you discuss your background in consulting?
Senior Consultant
The interview process had several stages: a phone screening, then a phone interview, followed by an online assessment. The final stage was an in-person interview which involved a case study presentation. We were given raw data and a specific business issue from a "client" to prepare a presentation with recommendations. This presentation was delivered to a panel, and in my case, some were in person while others were on the phone.
- How would you respond to a client who questioned the differences between our data and their POS data?
