This interview is a casual, chatty discussion where we both share what we know. Instead of strict questions, I'll ask open-ended things to learn about your experiences, how you solve problems, and what you know about the industry. We'll chat to see if you're a good fit, sharing stories and perspectives. You can also ask me questions about the job, the team, and how things work here. It's a two-way chat, more like talking with a colleague than a formal interview.

Behavioral Case Presentation

So the interview process started with a recruiter call, then I talked to the hiring manager, and after that, I had an assessment. The last interview was a panel with several managers, which was tough because they really focused on the STAR method and it felt more like an interrogation than a conversation. I had to follow up a few times to find out I didn't get the job. It's a great company with good benefits, just be prepared for a very structured interview.

Behavioral Technical

My interview was conducted by two engineers, one focusing on software and the other on hardware. The first part, lasting about 30-40 minutes, consisted of behavioral questions, the kind you'd answer using the STAR method. Then, for about 15-20 minutes, they asked technical questions specific to the role, like those about electronics and PLCs. The last 10 minutes were quick yes/no questions about the internship itself, such as availability and commitment. After they finished, I had the opportunity to ask them questions.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • Can you name a leader you look up to, describe their qualities, and rate yourself on a scale of 1 to 10?
  • Would you commit to a 40-hour work week, 5 days a week, for this internship?

Behavioral Technical

Got an email from the HR & Benefits Supervisor in Charlotte about a month after applying online to set up a 30-min initial phone screen. The questions felt super scripted, like they were just reading from a list. The person interviewing was supposed to be the manager for the role and had zero personality. After I finished the drills, I asked about updates, and they said 2-3 weeks because people were going on vacation. I sent a thank you email a few weeks later, no response, and never heard back about the job status. Totally ghosted. What a waste of time and a lame experience. No reason to ghost candidates who show interest and make time for your job opening.
