The interview process was pretty straightforward. I had a 1-hour meeting with a technical person and a manager. They asked me questions in the STAR format. The interviewers were really great and friendly. They asked me about my past experience in depth, critical issues I've tackled, and the overall flow of past projects. They also asked some behavioral questions about team management and handling conflicts.

The interview process had 2 stages. First, a third-party phone screen to check if my resume qualifications were a match. Second, a Zoom interview with the hiring managers. It was mostly discussing my resume, and they mentioned skills like Excel and Tableau could be useful.

Nissan contacted me to set up a phone screening via Calendly. The initial slots were full, so I emailed them about adding more, but got no response. Later, more slots appeared, and I managed to get one. During the screening, the interviewer seemed uninterested and cut me off during an answer. He also seemed unable to answer my questions about the internship. The interview ended early, and I felt like they had already decided on candidates and were just wasting my time. They ghosted me afterward. It was a terrible experience.

Presentation

I was ghosted after a few interviews for a Senior Planner job. The last interview was 6 weeks ago, where I had to make a presentation based on a fictional prompt. I worked hard on it and got good feedback, and felt confident about getting an offer or at least another interview. I haven't heard back from Nissan since then, even after trying to reach out. It's a shame they don't respect the time and effort put into the assignment enough to respond.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • Can you complete this assignment and present your results to us in a PowerPoint?
