I saw the summer internship opening on my school's career page back in Spring 2013. After I applied online through Nissan's job site, I had two phone interviews. One was with a Manager and the other with a Senior Manager. They were pretty much behavioral interviews, and the vibe was friendly and conversational. The Senior Manager did ask me a problem-solving question related to the job I applied for, and it seemed like she cared more about how I thought through it than about getting a perfect answer.
