Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Nissan North America.
Supervisor
It was a straightforward panel interview, and the environment was relaxed. They asked questions like why I'm the best fit for the job, what unique qualities I could bring, and several scenario-based questions.
- Why are you the best candidate for this role?
Supervisor
The interview process involves a standard behavioral interview with Area Managers and potentially a Senior Manager. It's a shop floor environment, so no need for formal wear. Previous experience with STAR method questions would be beneficial. Expect questions focused on Safety, Quality, and Production in that order.
- Can you share an experience where you witnessed a safety violation?
- Describe a situation where you identified a quality concern.
Supervisor
I was contacted for an interview, first over the phone, and then I went in person. The in-person interview was a bit intimidating as there were about 5 people in the room, but they were all really nice. They asked questions that made sense and also gave me time to ask my own questions at the end. They seemed to appreciate that I had prepared questions beforehand.
- Can you tell me about your experiences?
- What makes you want to join Nissan?
