First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Marshalls.
Front End Coordinator
It was a straightforward process. They asked about my value to the company and some behavioral questions. The team was really supportive and gave me time to think. Interestingly, they offered me the job even though I only applied for a cashier role, based on my answers.
- How would you deal with a challenging customer?
Associate
The interview process was easy and straightforward, held in the office with the hiring manager. They asked about my desired start and hours at Marshalls. I was given an interview date within a week of the store calling me back.
- What are your desired start hours?
- What is your availability to work at this location?
- Are you comfortable with the tasks assigned?
Sales Associate
It was a really good experience, lasting a bit over thirty minutes, but it felt fast because the manager was super friendly. She asked formal questions, but we also had casual chats, so it was pretty relaxed. Just make sure you have some solid customer service examples ready because you'll need them a few times. They also ask a lot about teamwork.
- Could you describe a team project you were part of and your specific contribution?
- How did you manage to complete a project or task with a tight deadline?
- Tell me about an instance where you had to perform physically demanding tasks at work.
Customer Experience Coordinator
I applied on Indeed and got a call to set up an interview. They made me wait a while, and then during the interview, they set up a second one for me a few weeks later. It's been over a month since then, and I still haven't heard anything back - no feedback, no rejection email, nothing. I've tried to keep in touch, but I've been completely ghosted. This has happened before too. Don't bother applying here if you expect to get hired.
- Can you tell me about your experience in customer service, specifically regarding how you've dealt with conflict or challenging customers?
