Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Marshalls.
Operations Manager
I applied online and got a pre-interview call. Then I met with the store manager and finally the District Manager. The questions were pretty direct, mostly about me and my experience with merchandising.
- Can you tell me about your background and merchandising skills?
- Describe your experience in merchandising and customer service, and tell me about your demeanor.
Operations Manager
You'll have an interview with the store manager and the District Manager, and it'll probably take about an hour. If it's any less than that, you probably aren't getting the job. You should hear back within a week.
- What makes you a strong candidate?
Area Manager
I got a call from HR at the company, and they asked me if I wanted to interview.
- Can you describe a difficult situation you faced and how you handled it?
- What prompted your decision to seek new employment?
