First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Marshalls.
Associate
The interview process was easy and straightforward, held in the office with the hiring manager. They asked about my desired start and hours at Marshalls. I was given an interview date within a week of the store calling me back.
- What are your desired start hours?
- What is your availability to work at this location?
- Are you comfortable with the tasks assigned?

I had an in-person meeting with the store manager. We talked about my education, previous work experience, what drives me, and my availability. They also asked if I had reliable transportation. The manager mentioned there's a chance to advance and that I'd need to be open to working different shifts.
- Would you be open to working shifts that vary?
- What is your educational background?
- Can you describe your previous work experience?

I came in and filled out a paper application, which I handed to a manager. She then set up an interview for me two days later. When I came back, she asked me some questions.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Can you tell me about your previous job experience?
- What makes you want to work here?
