I applied in person at the store. I then interviewed with the store manager and then the district manager. After that, I had a background check, a long orientation, and then 5 weeks of manager training. The questions were pretty standard. I was told to wear business casual. The manager was great, and so was the district manager. The training part was a bit boring, but it involves experiencing all the different roles in the store. Since I was hired from outside, this really helped me learn.

I applied through my school job website. After that, I had a phone interview a week later. The interviewer asked me about 5 to 8 questions about the job and about myself. She was very interested in me and wanted to schedule a face-to-face interview. However, she later mentioned they were looking for someone who had graduated from college. I didn't get any further interviews because of that, but I did receive a thank-you letter from the interviewer expressing her appreciation for my interest in the company.

They asked me to send my resume beforehand. My first interaction was with a person who already had all my details. He was a really nice guy. The company was opening a new store. He explained a few different job roles and asked me which one I thought would be a good fit for me. It felt very casual. I actually liked the process, the relaxed vibe made the one-on-one chat more productive.
