I applied for the Store Manager position. First, I had a phone interview with HR, which went well. The next day, I was scheduled for an in-person interview. They mentioned the role was for managing two new store locations, both an hour away from the address in the job posting. Towards the end of the interview, they clarified they were actually hiring for an Assistant Store Manager, not the Store Manager I applied for. I still showed interest, and they said they'd decide in about a month and to stay in touch as the interview went well. I received a rejection letter the following day.

I had 3 interviews. The first one was with the store manager, it lasted about an hour and mostly reviewed my work history. The second interview was with the district manager, who reviewed my work history and asked situational questions. This interview was 2 hours long. The third interview was a brief phone interview with the district manager, about a half hour.
