Radar Algorithm Engineer
It took around 3 weeks. Started with an HR chat, then a technical chat with the radar team, and finished with a behavioral chat with a manager. Behavioral stuff was pretty normal (teamwork, conflicts, etc.). They were nice and explained their work. The tricky part was needing automotive experience and knowing about production limits. Communication was a bit slow between chats. Overall, it was okay, not too intense, more about the basics than coding.
- Can you explain radar signal processing fundamentals like FMCW, CFAR, and DOA?
- Do you have experience with Python basics?
- Do you have experience with C++ basics?
Software Developer
After submitting your resume and cover letter, the first step is an HR/Recruiter call (15–30 mins) to check if you're qualified, talk about your interest, and cover salary/availability. This might have some basic behavioral questions. If there's an assessment, it could be a skills test or coding challenge. Then there's a first-round interview, usually virtual, with the hiring manager or a team member focusing on your background and problem-solving. After that, a second-round/technical interview gets more specific, possibly with case studies, whiteboarding, or live coding. The final interview, which might be an on-site panel interview, will focus on behavioral questions using the STAR method, checking cultural fit and communication.
- Can you introduce yourself properly?
Warehouse Worker
So, pretty standard interview process. I got a cold call about three months after I applied on ZipRecruiter. The call lasted around 30 minutes. This was for a temporary part-time gig driving forklifts at Magna International in Tecumseh, Ontario. For this TPT role, they really emphasized that I needed to be available on Mondays and Fridays for either the day shift or the afternoon shift, with the shift change happening around 2:30 PM. They were offering $20.86 CAD per hour.
- What does good attendance mean to you?
- Can you handle doing very repetitive tasks?
- Have you got previous factory work experience?
Data Analytics Specialist
The interview started on time, but the interviewer was unprofessional and swore. Instead of a conversation, I got a 60-minute presentation that felt like new hire orientation. They only asked one question, and it seemed like everyone got the same answer, so I'm not sure how they evaluated candidates. I was supposed to hear back by Friday but got nothing. After emailing, still no response. I waited three weeks to hear back, feeling like a backup. The hiring decision felt arbitrary, and the lack of communication showed poor organization. I wouldn't recommend applying unless they fix their interview process.
- What would you do to design a conceptual dashboard over 30, 60, and 90 days?
