First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Magna International.
Technician
First, I had a talk with a manager. Then, there was a technology familiarity assessment, covering PLC controllers, pneumatics, and hydraulics. It really depends on the branch, though. They also reviewed my former job accomplishments. Honestly, it was a duly uninspired and drawn out process that wasted way too much time.
- Which PLC brands have you worked with previously?
- Tell me about your experience with PLC controllers, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
- Please walk me through your previous job accomplishments.
Maintenance Technician
They asked me what I learned in my program. They asked what is a control valve, and asked me to draw a schematic. Then they asked me to introduce myself and what I knew about Magna International. Lastly, they asked why I wanted to work for them.
- What is a control valve and can you draw the schematic for it?
Quality Technician
The interview process was quite smooth, with not many technical questions. They asked me about things written in my resume, like what I was doing and when I was doing it. They also asked why I would want to work for Magna.
- What specifically were your responsibilities and the timeline for those responsibilities?
- What motivates you to seek employment with Magna?
