Controller

Social Media Coordinator
After being referred by an insider, I first had a 1-hour phone chat with Valeria Piccolini from HR, which was basically like an interview. Then, I had the official interview via video call, where I basically repeated everything I said on the phone. They told me I'd get a response within 10 days, no matter what. Well, after 3 weeks, no news, so I followed up (email first, then WhatsApp). They finally said the rejection email was stuck in their drafts. For a job asking for 10 years of experience and a certain seniority, I expected a bit more professionalism from HR, and honestly, I wouldn't expect this even for an internship.

Quality Engineer
The process took about 2 months and had three stages. First, a general HR call. Then, a second interview via Teams. The third interview was in person. I liked that it's a big international company with great growth opportunities. However, the communication between the function manager and HR was poor. The function manager seemed uninterested in the candidate; the first stage with HR went great, but the second stage had no questions from the Managers.
- Have you ever managed other people's work in your role?
Business Analyst Intern
The selection process for the Business Analyst Intern position at Luxottica involves several steps to assess both technical skills and soft skills: HR Team Interviews (3 meetings) The first steps include three one-on-one interviews with HR recruiters. These meetings focus on evaluating motivation, academic and professional background, and the candidate's fit with the company's values and culture. Technical Interviews (2 meetings) Next, the candidate will have two technical interviews: The first with a Senior Business Analyst, focusing on analytical skills and experience with tools like Excel and Power BI. The second with the Team Manager, aimed at assessing team fit, problem-solving abilities, and strategic vision. Excel Test A practical Excel exam is scheduled to evaluate proficiency in advanced features, data manipulation, and effective report creation. Business Case Finally, the candidate will tackle a business case, requiring the analysis of a real or simulated problem. The goal is to observe logical reasoning, quantitative approach, and the ability to propose clear and structured solutions.
