First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Luxottica.
Management
It was a 3 step process. Started with a phone screen, then a 1st interview, and finally a 2nd interview. They asked some screening questions over the phone, and based on my answers, I moved on to a 1-1 meeting and then a second interview. They answered all my questions and were really good at explaining the startup and their vision. The initial screening was pretty standard. They were punctual, kept the conversation flowing, and avoided awkward silences. They were super helpful in explaining the business and what they're aiming for.
- Can you share some details about your previous work experience?
- What aspects of a startup environment appeal to you?
- What are your expectations when working for a startup company?
Web Manager
The recruiter called me first to discuss salary expectations. It was a bit of a back and forth, but they said compensation wouldn't be an issue. Then we scheduled a phone screen, but she missed it. She called back later, apologized, and we rescheduled. The phone screen went well, and she invited me for an in-person interview. I met with 3 Sr Directors and 1 Director. The interviews with the hiring manager and shared service director went great, asking for examples of past projects. The Brand Marketing Sr. Director interview was tough; she was proud of the website, but I thought it was a mess and struggled to answer how to drive revenue from it. The Finance Sr. Director interview was quick and pleasant. He said I'd hear back soon. A week or so passed, and I reached out to the recruiter for feedback, but got no response. I left a voicemail a few days later and still no callback. I was disappointed with the recruiter's communication throughout the process.
- Could you share an instance of a project you managed that yielded a positive return on investment?
- Describe a situation where you faced scenario a, b, and c...
- What strategies would you propose for increasing the website's revenue?
Assistant Manager
First, you'll need to present yourself professionally, dressing appropriately to make a solid impression. In the interview, be ready to share concrete examples of your abilities and past experiences. It's also a good idea to ask thoughtful questions about the job and the company, like how success is measured or how certain challenges are dealt with. Make sure to clearly state your availability. If you get an offer, the next steps usually involve sorting out paperwork, handling emails, and completing background checks.
- Are there many questions regarding customer service?
- How about training?
- What about colleagues?
