Very simple, HR interview, interview with the Manager but no specific questions. It was mostly a motivational interview. No technical questions and no interest in past experiences. The position was Junior

The interview process was strange and unprofessional. I first spoke with a recruiter and then a more senior HR employee. The Luxxotica point of contact got my name wrong initially, which wasn't professional, but I overlooked it. The interview itself was pretty standard. They discussed their plans for the new Dallas location and the role's responsibilities. I shared my relevant experience from a different industry with a more complex product line. In the wrap-up, they said my experience was great, industry-specific knowledge wasn't critical, and they'd contact me within a week for another interview. I sent polite follow-ups, and then things got weird. About a week later, the senior HR person called me late in the evening while I was in customer meetings. I called back the next morning, and he immediately asked why I didn't answer his call. He then told me I wasn't selected for the position or other roles. His tone was condescending and felt personal, which was odd for an HR Director. I felt he lacked respect. It seemed like there was unprofessionalism and perhaps a toxic environment based on my limited interactions with senior staff. I'm glad I found other opportunities.

The process was quite quick. I found an HR contact on LinkedIn and sent an email for a speculative application, and I was contacted almost immediately. I started the selection process with both HR and the Manager, who were very friendly. During the interview, I was made to feel at ease.

  • Could you identify our company's main strength?
  • Technical questions about demand forecasting (e.g., why demand for children's glasses increases in September)
