Behavioral Case Presentation

I applied online and then got a call to set up my interview. When the interview day arrived, I wore all black because that's their dress code and I was super nervous. I went in and had to wait a bit, so I looked around. When they finally called me, I first met the regional manager who was really nice. She sat me at a different table in the back to sign some paperwork like an application and agreement forms. Then she brought me to another table and basically just asked me questions about myself and some job situation questions. After that, she had me read two pages about their rules, dress code, policy, etc. Then I met the second manager, the store manager, who was also nice. He asked me similar questions about myself and job situations. They both agreed I should do an audition. He brought me to the front and asked me to sell him something. I mainly asked him questions while trying to sell him glasses he asked for. Afterwards, we chatted a bit about how he thought I did well and that it's good I'm a nice person and can keep a conversation. He said he'd call me after they finished all the interviews for the week. I never heard back, but that's okay, I got hired at Victoria's Secret ;)

I was brought in and interviewed by three managers. They were supposed to be just the district manager, but her assistants ended up interviewing me because she was unavailable last minute. They asked some basic questions about customer service, like how I've handled difficult customers, and also some shrink/LP questions. For the management role, they asked how I'd change the store as an assistant manager, how I'd improve sales for the year, and how I'd train associates to be like me. They also asked some personal questions to get to know me, like what I like to do and where I grew up. Bringing my resume helped them come up with questions on the spot. They talked a lot about the brand's direction.

It was just one interview, where we started with some basic questions about me and my resume. Then it went into my Strengths and Weakness and how they would serve this position. The woman who interviewed me was very professional and courteous, really trying to get to know me as a person and as a possible professional for this company. The work environment was very lively, with employees continuously interacting with consumers.
