First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at LTIMindtree.
Graduate Trainee
I had my technical interview with LTIMindtree, but the interviewer asked mostly HR-related questions. I answered almost all of them. The only technical question she asked was about the name of my project and whether it was a solo or team effort. The interview lasted only 15 minutes. While I may have fumbled a bit with my spoken English, my seniors had told me that language proficiency doesn't matter much in a technical round. Because of this, I'm struggling to understand why I was rejected.
- What was the name of your project?
- Was it a solo or team project?

So, this interview was pretty much a technical one, really digging into Core Java and some basic Data Structures & Algorithms stuff. It kicked off with me chatting a bit about myself, my projects, and what I did on them. Then, we dove into the technical part. The first bit was all about Core Java – they hit me with questions on OOP concepts like encapsulation, inheritance, polymorphism, and abstraction. Also got asked about the difference between == and .equals(), Array vs ArrayList, and general exception handling. Some questions were theoretical but needed good examples. After that, it was time for some basic coding challenges. I had to code to print prime numbers and explain how it worked. Then there was a question about checking for prime numbers more efficiently (like up to √n). Got a Fibonacci series question too, and a simple array task to find the biggest number. They weren't looking for super complex algorithms, more about clear logic. I had to walk them through my thinking process, and we touched on time complexity in a basic way. Honestly, it was a moderate interview, mostly checking if I knew my Java fundamentals and could handle basic problem-solving. If you've got the core concepts down and practiced a few small coding problems, you should be good to go.
- Could you start with an introduction, and then tell me about your experience with multi threading, exception handling, and the basics of Spring Boot?
- Tell me about yourself, projects, and your role in them, followed by questions on multi threading, exception handling, and Spring Boot basics.
- Could you introduce yourself and discuss your experience with multi threading, exception handling, and the basics of Spring Boot?

So after you crack the initial test, you get into this AI bot technical interview, which is actually pretty easy. It's this bot named Berry Bot, and it'll ask you stuff from your resume and about technical problems you ran into during your projects. It also asks about your tech stack. Some people say it's an elimination round, but none of my friends got cut here. After that, there's a technical interview with someone from Campuz, where they hit you with some basic DSA problems on linked lists, strings, and arrays. If you pass that, you move on to the HR interview. For me, this was the easiest part. The HR person was super chill and not intimidating at all, which was great. She asked about me, my college and school days, and any work experience I had. Plus, some questions about basic company etiquette that everyone should know.
- Can you tell me about some basic DSA questions related to linked lists?
- Can you tell me about some basic DSA questions related to strings?
- Can you tell me about some basic DSA questions related to arrays?
Senior Software Engineer
The company's hiring process was extremely disappointing. They initially agreed on a salary before the screening. However, after completing all rounds, during the final HR discussion, they adopted a condescending attitude, suggesting that my current salary dictated my capabilities and was the only amount I was capable of receiving, disrespecting my skills and years of experience. While they stated that they would proceed only if the salary expectation was met, which I clearly communicated, their final offer was drastically different. They treated candidates like slaves throughout the process.
