I had my technical interview with LTIMindtree, but the interviewer asked mostly HR-related questions. I answered almost all of them. The only technical question she asked was about the name of my project and whether it was a solo or team effort. The interview lasted only 15 minutes. While I may have fumbled a bit with my spoken English, my seniors had told me that language proficiency doesn't matter much in a technical round. Because of this, I'm struggling to understand why I was rejected.

So, the whole hiring thing started with an online test during an on-campus drive, which was like the main cut-off round. It had four parts: Logical Ability (20 mins), Quantitative Ability (20 mins), Technical & Computer Programming (35 mins), and Communication Skills (20 mins). This was to check how well you can solve problems, your basic tech knowledge, and your communication. Then came Round 2, a Technical Interview with a senior DevOps person. They were super chill and made it easy to talk. They asked stuff like 'Tell me about yourself,' 'Who's your favorite cricketer?', 'Pros and cons of B.Tech,' 'Strengths and weaknesses,' 'Problem-solving scenarios,' 'C++ output questions,' 'OOPS stuff like interfaces and abstract classes,' and 'DBMS basics like SQL, keys, and normalization.' Round 3 was the HR Interview, mostly about how you communicate and if you're flexible. They wanted feedback on the online test, asked for a self-introduction, and checked if I was okay with relocating and working shifts, and what my preferred location was.

The LTI Mindtree interview process for a Graduate Trainee Engineer involved a Technical Round (TR) and an HR Round. In the TR, the interviewer was professional and friendly, focusing on Operating Systems (OS) and Computer Networks (CN) with fundamental and conceptual questions. They also discussed my past projects, including technologies and challenges, and asked about my willingness to relocate. The HR round was welcoming and smooth, covering general chat like my neighborhood and confirming relocation flexibility. It felt more like a friendly chat. Overall, the experience was positive with approachable interviewers and relevant questions.
