The hiring process dragged on for nearly a month. Initially, HR mentioned there would only be two rounds: one theoretical technical round and one coding technical round. In the first round, HR stated it would be a theory tech question, but it ended up being a full coding round with questions like finding the largest element and string builder tasks. I passed this round. After a week, there was a second round, also a tech and coding round, and I was selected. However, they later said they were still struggling to make a decision and requested a third round. I had to take two days off work for this interview, which was again a coding round. After this round, they ghosted me. Two weeks of calls and messages later, they finally informed me that I was rejected because I 'DIDN'T CODE FAST' enough, even though I produced the correct output for all the coding questions they gave me. It felt like a complete waste of my time.

Confirmed questions3 questions

Technical Behavioral

The interviews were structured, which means they were more rigid, but it makes the hiring process fair, consistent, and objective. To make candidates feel more comfortable, companies should be upfront about the process, give candidates the questions in advance, and make sure they are listened to. Using video interviews can also make candidates feel better about the whole experience.

The interview was scheduled for 30 minutes. The interviewer started 2 minutes late. The first question was about a program, and I made some syntax mistakes which led to an incorrect output, but I explained my logic. Then, two more questions about Selenium were asked, and the interview concluded. This part took about 20 minutes. I asked why only three questions were asked. The interviewer said she was running out of time, even though there were still 10 minutes left according to the schedule. I'm not sure how three questions are enough to decide if I'm capable. If they lack time, they should schedule interviews according to their availability. Don't waste your time on such interviews.

  • Can you write a program to count the vowels in a given string?
  • What is the difference between Explicit Wait and fluent Wait in Selenium?
  • Explain how you would handle a NoSuchElementException.
