A recruiter contacted me in November and mentioned there would be several interviews needed before a potential December start date. After these, I was told I had the job, but they needed another month for financing approval. They kept me waiting for another month. I then received an offer from another company and they really pushed for me to stay, saying financing was just days away. Turns out, a week later (more than three months after I was initially told I got the role), financing fell through. It was a really bad experience.

The interview process was all over the place! I applied for an EA role and the recruiter first contacted me. At the start of the interview, the recruiter mentioned that while the initial plan was to interview for the EA role, the hiring manager was specifically looking for someone with experience at LPL Financial. Because of this, they decided to interview me for a different Executive Admin role, only to inform me later that they were interviewing candidates from an "interviewing pool."

About a month after I applied, I started getting calls from a number I didn't recognize. I ignored them at first because I thought it was spam, especially since they didn't leave a voicemail. But after the fifth call in a week, I picked up. The person said they were from LPL regarding the job I applied for and immediately started the screening. The questions were pretty standard until about 10 minutes in when they asked if I planned to relocate to Texas. I had applied for a role in Fort Mill, and I even checked it on the call to make sure the listing hadn't changed. They told me the position was only in Texas and the listing was wrong. Since I couldn't move, we ended the call. About two months later, I saw the same job posted again for Fort Mill, so I reapplied and got an automatic rejection within 24 hours.

Really nice interview where we chatted about my experience with discovery, agile, and my previous work history. We covered upcoming projects, the current LPL landscape, and what they were searching for in a product owner. We also touched on the company culture and what working at LPL is like regarding work/life balance. The person interviewing me was super pleasant and I felt totally comfortable.
