This interview was for a Customer Service Representative role in the Charlotte area, focusing on assisting Financial Advisors with issues concerning their accounts, transactions, and application usage. Expect typical interview questions about the importance of customer service and how your experience aligns with the role. The interviewers are competent and will ask open-ended questions related to your resume. Emphasize your people skills, your ability to stay calm and helpful with upset clients during high-value transactions, and your attention to detail. Be ready to discuss your best and worst CSR experiences and how you handled them, along with other job functions. It seems they're looking for individuals who plan to stay in the position long-term with limited advancement aspirations. My technical support analyst background and experience handling that environment weren't found compatible. If you have call center experience, focus on the tasks, and you should do well. Research the company and advisor sites to understand the typical caller.

They reached out to me first for this role. When I said I was interested, they had me do a take-home test that same day to be considered, which I agreed to. They then contacted me to set up a phone interview, but ghosted me when I gave them my availability. Then, out of the blue, they emailed an apology and I gave them another chance. We finally scheduled a time, and they ghosted me again on the day of the interview. The recruiter, Neveen Mikha, handled all the scheduling and never apologized. Two weeks later, she emailed saying they decided to go with another candidate and still no apology. I can't believe how unprofessional LPL Financial recruiters are; they didn't even apologize or respond when I asked if there was an issue with conducting my interview.

I did the interview and got a job offer, which I accepted. I also completed the background check and onboarding. However, I was never told about a credit check. This company ran my credit without my permission. If I had known that checking my credit was a requirement, I would not have applied. I only found out the day before I was supposed to start. They really need to be upfront about this requirement and running credit checks without people knowing or agreeing. They make it seem like a normal background check.
